We’re a small, family run business based at our farm in the beautiful Haldon Hills in glorious South Devon. We offer a hand-picked selection of foods from all over the Mediterranean – from the leafy olive groves of Tuscany to the sun-drenched shorelines of Sardinia.
After travelling around the Mediterranean to source the finest produce for our products and recipes, we began trading in 2000 as a market stall. We started off selling a small variety of products and as our popularity swiftly grew, we expanded our offerings and branched out into wholesale.
The Olive Branch is owned and run by Sue Prowse.
For Sue, working with healthy food was a calling, having studied agriculture at Seale Hayne and worked in farming based food production on the Cotehele Estate in Cornwall.
Passionate about producing healthy food, Sue threw herself into learning about the Mediterranean diet and hasn't looked back since.
Sue travelled in the Mediterranean doing extensive research, picking up recipes and ideas as she went.
Then with the support of her family in the year 2000 the concept of a mobile deli was launched, firstly as a trial at Topsham Market, swiftly followed by Totnes Market.
Customer feedback was very positive and the trial soon turned into an established business.
The wholesale side of the business was launched soon after we were invited to supply award winning farm shops, such as Darts Farm Shop , near Topsham, and Rumwell Farm Shop, near Taunton.

After more than twenty years of seeking and preparing the best, we feel confident the foods we bring to the Westcountry are as good as those you'd find in the Mediterranean.
We still attend markets each week where we can meet and chat with our lovely customers and we are proud to supply two of the best farm shops in the region with our fresh olives and antipasti.
Customer service is important to us and we choose to keep our business small and personal and sell our products locally.
